You Have Circled This Mountain Long Enough

So, as I was studying about the children of Israel as they left Egypt, I kept going back to that mountain that they circled for "many days" it was more like months.......and I realized that He will allow us to go around and around again, in the same place until we learn something.

Rather than looking at the circumstances and complaining about them, and asking why is this happening or why is that person doing this to me again......it's time to look internally. Ask God "what
is it in me that allows this to continue in my life?" "why do I continue to respond to things the same way?" "what, Father, do you want me to learn in this?" You see, the children of Israel had a slave mentality and that held them back.....Do you still have a "sinner" mentality? Is that what keeps you from moving forward? It's time to be honest with yourself. You gotta dig deep if you truly want to be free.....maybe you don't really want to be free or just don't want to do the work it takes to be free.

Freedom means responsibility, it means making changes, stepping into the unknown and the uncomfortable. We can say all day long that we "want" to be free.....but someone once told me "The proof of desire is in the pursuit". The truth is, what you pursue with all your heart is what you truly want. God's heart for us is to move forward. He finally said to them "you have circled this mountain long enough - go North!" Why North? That was the direction of Canaan......the promised land! But sadly, that generation never got to live in the promised land because of their inability to renew their minds and change their ways and they wasted 40 years of their lives not living in the promises of God.

If nothing changes, girls, nothing changes. It's time to stop the old ways of thinking, reacting, responding, talking, acting, and being. It's time to renew our minds with the word of God, forgive, tear down idols on the throne of our hearts, speak what God says, do what He does and act like the Daughters of the Most High that we have been called to be.

t's time for change in us.....God wants to send us North into His promises!

Let's talk!  My greatest desires in life are first to please my Heavenly Father and secondly to see other women realize their identity in Christ.
