We also have plenty of opportunities to be offended, focus on the negative, get angry, and criticize.
And the beauty of living in Christ is that we have the freedom to do any of these things. It's our choice. But remember what Paul said in 1 Cor. 10:23...he responded - You say, "I am allowed to do anything"--but not everything is good for you. You say, "I am allowed to do anything"--but not everything is beneficial.
Yes, we can choose to do, act, say whatever we want, but before we do let's ask ourselves "is this good for me? Or beneficial to my life?" I confess that I woke up wanting to stay in bed and worry about some things this morning but knowing that would not benefit me in any way, I chose to get up and turn on my worship music and be thankful. Are the issues still present? Yes, but I feel much better about them! And who knows, Father God just might want me to speak life into one of His children today and I can't do that if I'm sleeping the day away.
I pray that we are all sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit today and make choices that benefit ourselves and the Kingdom. You are a precious daughter and you deserve the very best in life! Blessings!
